Redbridge Cancer Awareness Workshops for Schools
Every young person should have access to vital health education that can empower them, and improve their lives. That’s why, in partnership with NHS North East London Cancer Alliance, we are offering free cancer awareness workshops to young people in schools across Redbridge.
How we can help...
All young people should have access to vital health education around cancer. Our Cancer Awareness Workshop programme consists of fun and informal workshops that educate on the main signs & symptoms of cancer, how to correctly self-check for lumps and abnormal moles, how to be safe in the sun and protect yourself against skin cancer and HPV. After engaging with us, we hope young people will feel more empowered in their own health.
School Engagement Project - Redbridge
Young people deserve to grow up knowing the signs and symptoms of cancer, and how to check themselves. That’s why we’re here to help, by delivering workshops to pupils (14+) in high school, helping them to be more empowered in their bodies and confident in speaking to healthcare professionals.
Our workshop programme is designed in line with PSHE guidance and gives young people the skills to take control of their own health, as well as covering topics such as safe sex, sun safety and self-checking.
We’re currently only delivering free workshops to high schools in Redbridge. If you are a representative of a school in this area, you can request more information below.
