In early 2020, we were granted funding by the NHS Salford Clinical Commissioning Group as part of their Innovation Fund. This was to provide cancer awareness workshops to the community in the City of Salford, for young people aged 15-29.
As part of this project, we have hired a member of staff dedicated to its delivery, and making sure more young people in Salford know the signs and symptoms of cancer.
We will be working in communities such as schools, colleges, youth groups, LGBTQ+ community, SEN schools, young homeless, refugees and travellers.
If you are a representative of young people in Salford, we want to hear from you about how we can work with you to deliver a workshop!
